About The Rescue Mission

The Rescue Mission, founded in 1903, is a faith-based, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, providing restorative care to men, women and children experiencing a homeless crisis. Our organization serves Fort Wayne, Allen County and its nine surrounding counties. The Mission is comprised of four ministries, or houses, that function as communities of compassion.

Our Mission

To provide, through the power of Jesus Christ, a home for the homeless, food for the hungry,
and hope for their future.

Life House

Provides immediate relief from hunger and homelessness.

Immediate Housing Program

For men experiencing a homeless crisis, providing emergency shelter, basic needs & spiritual support.

Community Meals Program

Offering nutritious meals, referrals & other support to the public 365 days a year.

Restoration House

Men experiencing a homeless crisis

Short- & Long-Term Residential Programs

Meeting spiritual, emotional, physical & educational needs.

Charis House

Women and children experiencing a homeless crisis

Short- & Long-Term Residential Programs

Meeting spiritual, emotional, physical & educational needs.

Treasure House

A Thrift Store whose proceeds help to fund The Rescue Mission programs.
